The Artist
|
|||||||
Doris H. David, shown in the studio with her loyal helper
Kasha, has recently retired from teaching art in the public schools and
now devotes most of her time to her own art. Over the years, she
has engaged
in experimentation with many media including painting in oils,
acrylics,
watercolor, and mixed media, clay pottery and sculpture, fabric
sculpture
and photography. Painting, however, is her first love and medium
of choice.
The world of technology holds a good deal of fascination for
the artists of today and under the name of "Imagination Graphics",
Doris has been able to incorporate her graphic perceptions into her
website designs. She has experimented with art on the computer as
well.
More than anything else in life, she and her husband are
devoted to their three daughters and three grandchildren. In this
photo, she is shown passing the painting tradition on to her youngest
grandchild, Elliot.

The Studio
|

Below are some views of the Israel
Hill
Studio. The computer has been updated, the unfinished painting on
the
easel is of course, more current, and the drawing table is still filled
with
the usual mess of the day. Although the studio is small, a lot can be
accomplished
there. If the project grows too big for the space, there's always
the
kitchen.
